Can CAL grants be used outside Californian colleges?

<p>I’m a California resident, and wanted to apply. I applied to UCs and I know they apply there, but can Cal Grants be used at say NYU?</p>

<p>I do not think so. I don’t think California would grant you money just because you are from California, but they grant you money because you are attending a college in California.</p>
