Can colleges find out whether you were in NHS?

Hi,

I was inducted into the National Honor Society, but was dismissed due to a silly discplinary problem which occured over the internet. Can big state colleges, like NYU, UF, USF, UT or UC find out whether you actually were in NHS, i mean i don’t think they would have doubt when they see that i have a 5.1 weighted gpa and 3.75 UW gpa with over 13 APs, plus 100+ hours of volunteering and other ECs?

NYU isn’t a state school, it’s private, and

Yes, if they call your school.

Any mention of NHS isn’t going to boost your chances of acceptance at any college so don’t bother putting it down. This solves your problem.

They won’t care if you’re in or not

K thanks… I just wanted to be in NHS because i know i deserve a cord, all NHS members wear a giant white sash… Especially if i end up being in top 20

You deserve it? You don’t deserve anything if you were dismissed for a disciplinary problem. It’s the honor society.

I dont care. I didnt do anything at school, about the school, to a student at the school, or anything related with honor. Screw NHS, im still appealing to principal though
