Can I apply ED at Davidson but also EA at other schools

Please help I can’t find this on the Davidson site and there are a few other schools I would like to apply early action to along with early decision at Davidson. Thanks.

It is good to check on a school by school basis. But in general, you can apply ED to one school and EA or rolling to other schools. IMO it is a good idea to get more than one application in early if possible. If you get into the ED school you must attend and say no to any EA/rolling acceptances. The only exception that I know of is if a school is Single Choice Early Action (SCEA). If a school is SCEA (there are not a ton of them but some of the top schools have this) then if you apply to that institution EA you cannot apply to any other ED or EA schools. If a school does not state that it is SCEA, you are fine. If you have any questions, I would call the admissions department at the college for clarification.

happy1 is right… except I think that you have to withdraw all of your other applications from the Early Action schools before you get your decisions from them if you get into the ED school. Not 100% sure, though.

Okay thank you all both. I’m planning to apply UVA EA and perhaps Davidson ED

With the exception of the SCEA schools, you can apply anywhere you want along with one ED school . . . but if you get an affordable offer of admission from the ED school, then you must withdraw all the other applications.
