Senior year will be my fourth year in her class and I am without a doubt one of her strongest students ever (I don’t wanna brag but it is what it is lol)! But does columbia accept a letter of recommendation from a foreign lang. teacher?

and a question a bit unrelated, if i use letters of recommendation for ED but dont get accepted (which i really hope doesn’t happen ) can i reuse these letters for other schools?

can you use her? certainly, I intend to use my latin teacher. but then again, I’m pretty dedicated to the classics, latin, and greek.

can you use the recs for other schools? certainly, as long as you teacher doesn’t write a school specific rec. For example, our school sort of mandates that we only choose two teachers to write all our recs, because otherwise the teachers would be overloaded with requests.

how about a letter from a foreign language teacher explaining why you might not have done well in a language examination? i did well for chinese all my life and i took the somewhat equivalent of chinese AP in Grade 9, but i failed my grade 10 chinese exam because i was sick on the day of the examination…i scored an A on the preliminary examinations…
