And if so, do they effect each other in anyway?

Yes, you can still get financial aid, but I’m not sure if they affect each other. It should specify on either the financial aid web site or EOPS web site.

I work in the EOPS office at my CC and yes, you can get Financial Aid and still be eligible for EOPS or vice versa. Financial Aid and EOPS are entirely different programs and have different criteria for eligibility. Most of our students in EOPS are already receiving Financial Aid.

I hope that helps! Good Luck!

Yeah I just filled out an application yesterday and they said since I qualified under “B” on the BOG waiver which is financially needy I got accepted for EOPS and she said I should receive some paper work in the mail and there would be orientation in the beginning of January but what do they pay for it was kind of busy so I couldn’t really ask any questions or I didn’t think I could because it was so busy.

The school should state it on their web site.

Well they will give you a supplemental voucher for your books and will waive your application fee when you transfer. You also get peer support (if your campus has Peer Advisors on staff) and specialized counseling (you will have to see an EOPS counselor). But every campus has a slightly different program so be sure to check the website or call if you have any questions.
