Right now I’m majoring in es and minoring in psych. I will have 128 credits by the time I graduate with 4 credits in Econ. Can I still take accounting classes, get to 150 credits, then apply for CPA certification and become an accountant?

My goal is med school or pharm school but if I can’t get into either I want to fall back on my major. Since ES is not a marketable major should I switch to an Econ major right away? Should I just major in Econ and minor in bio that way I have the prerequisites for pre health and have a good career to fall back on ?

What state do you plan to sit in?

It really depends on which state you reside in as tdccarpenter indicated in the last post. Go to your state’s board of accountancy to see what are the requirements.

Probably either Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, or California.
