I applied to Brown just a few days ago, and I didnt apply for financial aid.
But now I know that I really need to apply for aid, and I already filled in my FAFSA forms. Is it possible to email someone at Brown and ask them if they could change my financial aid status? I mean not just Brown, but a few other universities as well.
Did you list all your colleges on the FAFSA? Call or E-Mail each and ask that your application be changed to WILL apply for Financial Aid. Did you also fill out the CSS Profile for schools that require that info?

No I havent filled the CSS Profile yet, I’ll do that as soon as possible. Is it collective for all the colleges?
And I have to email the Admissions Board, am I correct? For each university?
Look at the school web sites to see if the Profile is required.
You should email the financial aid office at each school, not admissions, since that would defeat the whole “need blind” purpose.
Actually…no Lilliana. Need aware schools know your financial need. Need blind schools don’t. A need blind school can see on the common application that you are applying for aid…but they do NOT know what your ability to pay is when considering your admission packet.
You can start with financial aid…but make it clear that you WILL be applying for aid. This should be changed on your application.
