Can I discuss how I challenged more than one belief in the common app prompt 3 or just one?

Hello !
I am an international applicant and I would like to write about how I challenged multiple beliefs held by my society (such as homophobia, sexism, intolerance,…)
All of the ideas are related to religion. Can I do it in my essay ? Do I have to reflect on challenging ONE idea only ?
Also, I wanted to write the essay about a religion teacher (not Christian or Jewish) who believed in antisemitism, terrorism, violence against LGBT people, sexism, violence against women, … I stoop up to him, and I thought it would be great if I wrote what I’ve learned from his class and how I changed my perspective. Do you think it is a good idea?

Thanks for the help

The idea is fine. You could umbrella your many ideas under 1 header, thus making it fit the guidelines. More important than fitting the guidelines, however, is your space. You probably have too few words to address several topics. Choosing one topic, such as “tolerance” and then defining that as tolerant of your list of things, will buy you space.

You may wish to tell it as a story: start us out in the classroom. You are the main character. Maybe show how you changed inside yourself to do your brave deed.

Thank you for the help!
