<p>Adcoms know that a high percentage of seniors in high school (about 50%) will change their interests/majors by their junior year of college. </p>
<p>So, while relating your interest in a specific field may be a good essay topic (if you’re not repeating yourself), you might want to consider telling Yale something else about yourself that they could not learn from the rest of your application. For example, my son, who is a freshman at Yale, wrote his supplementary essay on YouTube, and all the instructional information that he has learned from watching the bottomless pool of videos.</p>
