<p>I am aiming for a 3.0+ in Stern next year and I don’t mind being a study whore. Can I study a lot and do well in finance (like math,physics and chem in HS)? Or is it that I can study my butt off and still do crappy (like English).</p>

<p>You want to keep in mind that business has a human element to it. Being a “study whore” may have unintended consequences. Remember job interviews are the most crucial. If they see that you have no other interests than studying they wont like it. Also business requires at least some “street smarts”. Studing doesnt just make it. A balance is required.</p>
<p>by study whore i dont mean all i do is study. I mean by putting effort into the classes. Just to clear that up. I will engage in extracurricular for sure.</p>
