Even if this didn’t count as higher education (which I’m pretty sure it does), I’m sure she didn’t skip straight from HS to a Masters?

If your mom has a Masters, I presume she got her Bachelor’s degree first. Doesn’t matter if it was in the US or not. You aren’t the first in your family to attend college, so first-gen doesn’t apply.

I presumed so with the first-gen thing. She got her degrees, yes a Bachelor’s too, much later than is typical. I wrote a bit more on the other location where I posted this, so I have that sorted out. I suppose I just forgot to remove it. Thank you for pointing it out once more though :slight_smile:
