Can I get in? 2240 SAT's, 4.87 GPA, Strong EC's

I have a 4.87/5 GPA. I’ve gotten two B’s in high school, one in AP english junior year the other in Algebra 2 sophmore year. This year for the first quarter I got A’s in all classes (AP Lit, AB Calc, AP Stat, AP Gov, AP Spanish, Honors Philosophy).

2240 SAT’s. 800 writing, 750 reading, 690 math.

SAT 2’s: Math 1, 730, Spanish 690, US History 750, chemistry 710

I started my own food blog three years ago and it has grown to relative popularity 400-600 views/day.

For four years for 8 hours a day on Sundays I’ve apprenticed at a 4 star restaurant in Philadelphia.

I run my own small business on the side, cooking dinner parties and catering events.

I’m the business manager for my school newspaper.

What are my chances of getting in?

No, you cannot get in.

Stanford likes to see five star restaurants in applications.

Jokes aside, you look like a strong applicant.

Now you just have to write an awesome essay!

Sorry, its Stanford, so more like 10 essays. =P

EDIT: Honestly, the spectrum of food and business applied into interesting, real work experience will be very impressive to any admissions officer. Maybe you can use it to your advantage in your essay?

For four years for 8 hours a day on Sundays I’ve apprenticed at a 4 star restaurant in Philadelphia.

^uhh how is that possible

8-4 every Sunday?

You have 49% chance to get in, much higher than its admission rate… Because your math is not good at all.

They look very good. ww2015, a 690 is very much possible to get in with. My sister got in with a 660. So don’t worry!

If the OP thinks that she can significantly improve her SAT math score, it’d be in her interest to retake the SAT.
