Can I get in?

Generally this thread is for people to list out their grades, scores, etc. and ask others their chances of getting into certain colleges.

In my case:

My SAT score is 2150.
Reading: 660
Writing: 740
Math: 750

SAT 2 Biology: 780
SAT 2 Math Level 2: 800

Grades (sorry I don’t know my GPA and I don’t know how to calculate it so I just listed my grades)

Algebra 2/Trigonometry: A, B
Pre-Calculus Honors: C, B
AP Calculus AB: A, A

Biology: A, A
Chemistry Honors: A, A
AP Biology: A, A

World History: A, A
American Studies (History): A, B

Literature/Writing: A, B
World Literature: B, B
American Studies (Literature): B, B

Japanese 1: A, A
Japanese 2: A, A
Japanese 3: A, A

Electives:
Art 1: A, A
Principles of Business: A, A
Principles of Marketing: A, A
Money and Banking: A, A

Can I get into these colleges?

Emory
Dartmouth
Georgetown
University of Massachusetts
University of Chicago
Boston University
Wellesley College
Carnegie-Mellon
Duke University
Northwestern

And what are some safety schools in the east coast that I can apply to?

Thank for your help!

A lot of those schools are “reach” schools for everyone.

Try Maryland, and Penn State.

Also check out Michigan. (Easier to get into than Northwestern)

Despite what the previous poster said, I believe you have a good shot at Northwestern, UChicago, Georgetown, Duke and Georgetown. They are reaches (as they are for people with 2400’s even) but you still are a competitive applicant!

Help me out!

Might look at Holy Cross.

UMass should definitely be a safety for you!

Syracuse, BC, and NYU are all great schools with a relatively high amount of prestige that you would have a good shot of getting into

Emory- high match
Dartmouth- high reach
Georgetown- low reach
University of Massachusetts- safety
University of Chicago- high reach
Boston University- match
Wellesley College- low reach
Carnegie-Mellon- low reach
Duke University- mid reach
Northwestern- low reach

It is my opinion that Northwestern, UChicago, Georgetown, and Duke are all reaches with only a fair shot of getting accepted, because of your SAT I stats and (to a lesser extent) your GPA, so I’d respectfully disagree with Lilshowstoppa. Your SAT I score will not be as competitive at the more selective schools on your list. I would agree with the schools that calisenior suggested. They seem like good matches for you. Keep in mind though that BC and NYU are not very generous with merit-aid.

UMass is way below the rest in terms of selectivity.

Northwestern and Georgetwon are not reaches for 2400’s imo
