so im a freshman and my average grade is an A, but i got a D PE in the second semester. i go to a british school in nigeria but intend to go to america for junior and senior year. i believe i can keep up my a average and have extra curriculars and volunteer. will the D ruin my chances
D in PE will not ruin your chances.

PE is not an academic subject.
Penn is not “selective”, it is extremely selective. It is a reach for most everyone regardless of their stats.
Another reason your D in Physical Exercise (PE) won’t matter much is that you earned it as a Freshman. How your academic record progresses over the next few years will matter a great deal. If you aspire to Penn and other extremely selective colleges, your GPA is just one factor you should keep in mind. Another big factor is your ECs. Academics alone will not suffice. Penn and its peers reject thousands of applicants each year who have top GPA’s.
