Can I get into any of these schools?

I just applied to a lot of schools from a pretty broad range, so please let me know if i can get into any of these

BU
BC
CMU
All the UCs
Cornell
Brown
U of Illinois
NYU
U of Rochester
Georgetown
JHU
U of Chicago
Syracuse

Stats:
2100 + sat
~3.6 GPA
Excellent community service (taught diseased people how to use computer/internet) Easily over 600 hours
Good Recs
Varsity Wrestling, Varsity Tennis
Participate in a selective out of school orchestra

what are my chances?
thankss

anyone? help please

why so many schools?
I’d say you look good for BU, but BC is a reach (plus do you really want to go to a jesuit school?)
It’s hard to say with the UCs you need to be more specific there
Cornell and Brown are both reaches again because of the Ivy thing
U of Illinois, NYU and Rochesters are good matches
Georgetown’s a reach (but again why would you want to go to a jesuit school?)
U of Chicago and Syracuse seem alright
What are you looking to major in, you really have a wide variety of pretty high name well known schools there.

Best of Luck,
Meyer

im going to major in political science probably

what chances do i have of getting into ucla or ucsd?

thanks for your help

<<taught diseased=“” people=“” how=“” to=“” use=“” computer=“” internet=“”>></taught>

That sounds icky.

If your question is if you can get into any of them the answer is yes, you’ll definitely get into some of them, since I can’t see you being rejected from all of them. Though I suppose your GPA and ECs could be stronger. My cousin got into UCLA and a few other UCs last year with a 1200 something and zero ECs besides varsity basketball and track. From what you show you seem just as good as an applicant, so by comparison I’d say your chances are good.

PS: I like your SN.

poopoohead:

Assuming you are a California resident,
UCLA: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match

does anyone have any other opinions?

bump bump bump bump :)

bump
anyone else?
:)

bump bump bump bump

If you’re any good at wrestling (I am a wrestler myself), I know that Cornell and Illinois have excellent Division I programs, while Brown and BU have fairly respectable teams. Hopkins also has a decent Division III team. Just a thought

bump bump bump bump thanks to all who have replied

Narrow down your list first.

im mainly concerned with:
Uchicago
JHU
Georgetown
CMU
BC
Cornell (probably a big reach though)

what are my chances for those schools?
thanks in advance

JHU-slight reach

Georgetown-reach
CMU-reach
UChicago-reach

poopoohead, i have very similar stats. 3.6 unweighted and a little over 2100 (760M, 690CR, 660W). I’ve applied to many of the same schools:

CMU
Wash U
JHU
U Rochester
Emory
Northwestern
Case
Macalester
GWU
(at least i was originally considering many of the same schools)

I hope we both fair well…

any other opinions? :)

UCLA/UCB: Slight Reach
UCSD: Match
UCD/UCSB/UCI: Safe Match

up up up up
