<p>I think I prefer Berkeley but I was wondering how this stuff sounds:
SAT: 2320 (I took 2 times)
math-790
cr-760
writing-770 (9 on essay)
SAT II US History- 770
SAT II Math II- 710 (this is kind of bad, should I retake it even though its a pain?)</p>
<p>im in the ib program and my gpa is about 3.85, in nhs, shs will have 260 comm serv hours by application time…, varsity cross country</p>
<p>butttttt i live in md, so im not instate for either of those schools</p>
<p>im most interested in engineering physics, or physics, or electrical engineering</p>
<p>what else can i do before application time, and is that SAT II in Math something that i should retake, i mean it seems a bit inconsequential to me but some people have posted concern over 770’s…</p>
<p>also- is it a mistake to take ap psychology instead of ib chemistry next year? i think chem would be too much, im taking mv calc and physics, too- in addition to the whole being a senior thing, =]</p>
<p>I’d say you have a good change at both. Do you have more ECs?</p>
<p>Also, IB Chem isn’t a 2 year course at your school? Or is it SL level? We only have HL Chem at my school and I’m taking my second year of it soon.</p>

UVa- Slightly smaller reach, but still a reach</p>
<p>Try UMichigan’s engineering program. It is more of a match for you :)</p>
<p>Oh and IB Chem would be better than AP Psych if you are applying for engineering.</p>
<p>yeah we only have sl chem. i know its a better choice, but it is only sl so prepping for the ap would be a lot more work and i’m not sure it would necessarily help.

<p>yeah umichigan wouldnt be bad, i want to go to a big school- however i’m probably going to end up at maryland college park even if i get into the other two…
mainly because of money and also because maryland’s engineering program is better than uva’s and berkeley, well, berkeley just sounds awesome but i’m not confident about getting in. it sucks because i think i would be able to get in if i lived in ca… </p>
<p>is the math 2 sat II a big deal… i wish it were higher but im not sure studying for it is the most important thing i should be doing this fall…</p>
