Can I get into DePaul?

Hello, all.
I am an African American Male
First person out of entire family to graduate from high school and go on to college
I have a 2.8 and rising GPA
19 ACT taking again (not good standardized test taker)

  • 4 years of Math (Algebra, Algebra 2, Geometry, FST, Pre-Calc)
  • 4 years of English (English 9, English 10, American Lit, Journalism, & Mass Media)
  • 3 years of Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
  • 3 years of Chinese (Already bilingual and taking a third language, I can also read and write Arabic)
  • 4 years of Social Studies (Government, World History, AP US History, AP Human Geography, AP Psychology)
  • AP Computer Science
  • Economics
  • DECA 1 & DECA 2

Extra Curricular Activities

  • Heavily involved within Mosque
    -DECA Officer and President
  • Model UN
  • Many leadership programs throughout high school
  • Very Family oriented
  • Work at the Apple Store and youngest person to work there

Special Circumstances

  • First person to go to college from family
  • DePaul is my first choice
  • I am very open minded and I would be very well involved within DePaul and Chicago

So I would love it if you guys can get back to me on the verdict. Once again, I really want to go to this school and I always have.

With a 2.8 GPA and 19 ACT, your chances are very slim. To accommodate for your low GPA, you would need, in my opinion, at least a 24 on your ACT to earn acceptance unless you can raise your GPA a bit.
