Can I get into Georgia Tech with a 3.2 GPA

Hi i was wondering do I have a good shot of getting into GT without and extracurricular activities but a high SAT score and a 3.2 GPA built mostly on CP(college prep) courses.

You should post this in the GT subforum for more focused responses.

I graduated this past Spring, and I can tell you that one of my hallmates applied to Tech with a 2.9/4.0 GPA. He did, however, take mostly AP courses and had a very high (>2300) SAT score. Moreover, his AP scores were all 5s. He is a very smart person, but he is so lazy to where you wouldn’t think it was possible for someone to be that lazy.

So I am not sure if you and he are in the same position. How high a SAT score are we talking about here? And what’s your math score?

I’m assuming you meant “without any extracurricular activities” rather than “without and”. If that’s the case then you have no chance. The top three elements in admission are GPA, rigor of schoolwork and ECs. http://www.irp.gatech.edu/sites/www.irp.gatech.edu/files/Final%20CDS2009_2010%20%20effective%2006-17-2010_0.pdf</a> Section C7. Without ECs you are leaving an entire admissions element empty. In section C11 you’ll also see that only 3% of students with grades of 3.24 or below attended.

No just all CP classes and 2300
