My unweighted GPA is a 3.8. I scored a 25 on the ACT and am planing on retaking it in September. I am currently taking an online prep coarse for the ACT. My father and grandfather graduated from Notre Dame. I know it would be very hard to get into Notre Dame, but is it out of reach? I am taking 5 AP classes this year and have taken honors classes up to this date. I have a bevy of extracurricular activities including National Honors society, key club, Football, track, choir, school spirit club, and I take part in liturgical readings at my catholic schools masses. Could I get into Notre Dame, Michigan State or Ohio State? Those 3 schools rank among the top schools on my list! Thank you!

Your GPA is good enough for all of these schools considering that you are challenging yourself in taking AP classes but what concerns me is your ACT score. You will definitely have to get that up if you want to head to one of these schools. Notre Dame mind as well be an Ivy. It’s a great school but extremely hard to get into. They are looking for an ACT score above into the 30’s

Thank you! I do have a very rigorous class schedule and have been working tireless to get that ACT score up.
