I dont know which GPA Rutgers looks at but my weighted GPA is a 3.98 and my unweighted GPA is a 3.13. Do I have a chance to get into Rutgers? Also, I haven’t take the SAT yet but how much should be aiming for at the least to get into Rutgers?

OMG only a 3.13? thats sooo bad…

all sarcasm aside…
this is Rutgers we are talking about, not Harvard, 3.13 is fine
just get around 1900 on your SAT and you’re in (assuming in state)

yea im in-state. i dont know if i could get a 1900 though maybe 1700-1800 but i doubt 1900.

even 1800 isn’t too low i think

1700 is fine

For Rutgers in-state, 1100 (just CR and Math) is fine.

I hope.

Integra i think thats a bit way too low.

The 1100 is just the two parts that they care about (Critical Reading, and the Math Section), it does not include the writing part. And I also referred to in-staters.

are you sure writing doesnt count? so your basically saying 550 on math and 550 on critical reading will get me into Rutgers?

Most colleges don’t look at the writing section. They usually just look at Math and Reading.

And 550 on both may get you in. It also depends on E.C.s, class rank, and GPA, as well as being in-state.

well i have around 4 or 5 ecs(not anything special though just average stuff), my school does not rank, and as of right now my gpa is 3.13 but thats only freshman+sophmore year, and i am in-state.

i talked to admins at RU and they were saying they are gonna look at writing but not by a lot but it will be taken into consideration

If those are your grades, and E.C.s, you are most likely in, but it also depends on your SAT scores. ANd if you do apply, apply early in October because they use rolling admission, meaning the earlier you apply, the higher the chances you have to get in.
