<p>Hi, im a sophmore, but i was just wondering what i need to do in order to get into colleges such as NYU, USC, Skidmore, and Reed.
Overall i have an 87 average, (3.3) unweighed, and 3.8 weighed. </p>
<p>I am a white, jewish/russian male. I am first gen. american</p>
<p>I go to a competitive prep school on Long Island</p>
<p>I am in mostly honors next year, and am on the AP track in all classes but math. (They only offer a few AP’s in my school, and offer very few options compared to others.)</p>
<p>EC’s include
Cello- have been playing since i was ten, and score outstanding scores at NYSSMA every year(NYSSMA is a musical evaluation that musicians take in new york)
I am in an orchestra outside of school, co-principal, and I have played twice at Lincoln center)
I am doing all-state NYSSMA(the highest level) this year</p>
<p>Guitar/Bass guitar- I am in my school Jazz band. I am also in a rock band outside of school. I do gigs at my school regularly, and have played with professionals.</p>
<p>Sailing- I play on my schools sailing team and race every thursday with an adult crew (man, i should be the feature of a vampire weekend song)</p>
<p>Sports- I play squash (No 1. seed at my school)
X country- was number three, then i had an injury and fell to number 6</p>
<p>As of now my grades are going up, and i am taking the SAT II in biology this June. </p>
<p>Please let me know how im doing, and what i need to do to get into a top school…
