Can i get into the University with a GPA of a C??

<p>i applied for Kean and William Paterson in New Jersey but my GPA is a 1.8 which is about a 73-75% in my school. Im getting B’s my senior year and my school is sending a copy of that report card along with my application. Can i get into these colleges with a 73% GPA?? im really working hard my senior year and i dont want to go to community college</p>

<p>I don’t know anything about those colleges, but just wanted to point you toward the “College Search” section of the CollegeBoard’s website (google it). It’ll give you most of the stats you’re looking for. The student body at Kean, for instance, includes 1% who had a high school GPA between 1.0 and 1.99. Colleges do consider rigor, so if you took many difficult (honors/AP/IB) classes, that should help.</p>

<p>Community Colleges are designed for people in your situation. If you attend a CC and do well, you can transfer into a university after your first year. Many universities will not consider (or even ask for) your high school GPA or SAT score after a year of CC - and not just small regional colleges, but major first tier schools. Community College is the closest thing you can get to a “do over”.</p>
