Do you live in Cali? If not, UCB, USC, and Stanford are way beyond your reach with your current test scores… I know youre retaking, but I can only chance with what you have, not what you could have.

Stanford is really the only one I don’t see you getting into but since youre a CA resident you never know! I would say try and get your test scores up and thats all :)! Good luck!!!

I’d say you have a good shot at CSU East Bay and San Jose State. With your current scores/GPA, Stanford is definitely out of the question. Sorry, but someone at my school had a 4.0 GPA and 2400 SAT score and didn’t get in. Your extracurriculars look good though! If you bring up your score to above a 2000 USC might be an option. Good luck!

Factoring in your rigorous schedule, grades, and EC’s I believe you have a fair and good chance at CSU East Bay, Cal Poly, and San Jose State. UC Berkeley and USC are unpredictable, so you never know! I’m not trying to be bias, but UCLA is a great institution that is ranked up there with the selective CA schools you’re trying to get in to so I recommend you check it out! Good luck on your test retake and make sure you put a lot of thought in your essays! :D

I think you have a great shot at many of those schools but UC Berkeley may be a stretch becuase of your test scores. Also USC Stanford are reaches for the same reason. Also, try taking the ACT you may do a lot better on it than the SAT (like I did). All schools accept the ACT as well :).
