At my high school, I have a 4.0 unweighted GPA. Currently as a junior, I’m taking the following AP classes: Chinese, Calculus BC, Biology. Next year I plan on taking AP(Gov, Lit, Stats). My SAT reasoning score is 2290 (first attempt). I don’t have any EC for this year though. As a sophomore, I taught a middle school business program at a local high school and ended up becoming a teacher-like figure for seventy+ students. If I maintain my 4.0 GPA, how well do I have to do on AP tests and my SAT subject tests? If I do well on the APs and SAT subjects, will I be able to get into Cal? I want to study economics/something related to business.
With respect to GPA and SAT, chances look good (in-state or OOS)! Your scores on the AP exams do not matter for admissions. Do well (700+ at least) on a couple SAT subjects. Definitely do some meaningful ECs.
