<p>I think your chances are slim with those scores. I would retake the SAT for 1900+ or try the ACT, or both. Your EC’s are good and your URM status will give you a good boost.</p>
<p>well say hypothetically I retake and I believe for the first time taking the ACT, I’ll atempt to get a 27, 28 and retaking the SAT, I get 1800-1900. what are my chances now with my grades and ecs?</p>
<p>Here is the 2008 decisions thread from USC - you can see stats of students who were actually admitted and figure for yourself how you stack up. 2009 is likely to be as competitive, if not a bit more. I can’t remember the exact numbers, but the acceptance stats were about 21% admitted, average GPA (uw) 3.9, and average SATs just over 2000.</p>
