<p>im sure that you already know this, but your SAT is too low right now to get you into either school. The best thing that you can do is to work really hard on studying for the SAT over the net few months. Try your best to aim for over 2100 (you’ll have a decent chance with a score like this), but just do your best to get it as high as you can.</p>

<p>I would say a 2000+ can improve your chances at W&M drastically, just make sure you go through with you plan to study a lot. Also have you taken SAT II’s??? They should be in the 700’s</p>
<p>No I haven’t taken any sat II’s I was thinkin next year I would take the Sat reasoning in october and then take the sat IIs in november. ? Would I still be able to make early decision?</p>
<p>Happy Club is a club that raises money for Operation smile. We do different fundraising for childeren to get cleft lip and pallet surgery if they cannot afford it…</p>
<p>Well if you break 2000+ plus and your SAT IIs make it into 700+, you will be a fairly competetive apllicant, especially in-state. Congrats on being part of such a worthy cause (Happy Club)! :)</p>
<p>sthomas, the average SAT for both UVA and W&M is significantly higher than 1860. This year for instance the average SAT score (M+R) was a 1390, which on the 2400 scale would be around 2100. You’d be hard pressed to find many students at UVA who have a 1860 SAT score, thats low.</p>
<p>You just need to improve your SAT score (I suggest the princeton review’s cracking the SAT 2009 edition its really helpful). Everything else looks good.</p>
<p>So I somehow happened upon your question and registered on this site just to give you my input. If you REALLY want to get into William and Mary and you don’t get accepted, going to Richard Bland College is an AMAZING alternative.</p>
<p>I really loved WM but in high school I had a SAT lower than yours and a 3.5 GPA. </p>
<p>At a college fair at George Mason I found a table for Richard Bland College. There was only one girl there, and no one was talking to her so I decided to see what her college was about. </p>
<p>Basically RBC is considered a sister school to William and Mary. It is a 2 year junior college with an articulation agreement to WM. Basically if you go to RBC and get over a 3.0 you are AUTOMATICALLY accepted to William and Mary. No questions asked. </p>
<p>After you graduate from RBC with an associates and get all of your core classes out of the way, you transfer to WM only having to fulfill major requirements. In two years you get a WM diploma. </p>
<p>If that isn’t the only amazing part, RBC also costs half of what WM costs, so you are saving TONS of money in the long run. </p>
<p>I am graduating on Sunday from WM and going to RBC is probably one of the best things I’ve ever done.</p>
<p>It’s pretty unlikely that you are going to hear about this school unless you go to their website, WM doesn’t have much information on them because it is a very small school and frankly, I don’t think the idea of WM having to automatically accept people with barely over a 3.0 from a junior college is something they want to advertise. Go to RBC’s website and read their articulation agreements with WM.</p>
