My dad works at the university i go to so i get free tuition but I am living in an apartment off campus which is still expensive. I want to apply for scholarships and student loans but it seems like that money goes towards your tuition so im afraid im not eligible for them once they see i dont pay tuition. Is it possible that I can apply for a loan/scholarship for off campus housing?
It depends on the terms of the scholarship if they must be used for tuition or can be used for other expenses. Often the schools giving full tuition to employees or dependents will not give their own scholarship money on top of that.

The answer depends on your specific school, so you need to talk to the Financial Aid department. My daughter also receives tuition remission at her school, and she has additional scholarships that are applied toward room/board/books/fees.
Your bigger issue is that you’re a current student. Few scholarships for those.
You can get a student loan for about $6500 (if you’re a sophomore).
However, if your dad works at the Univ, why aren’t you living at home?? Seems silly to borrow if you can commute.
You’re going to regret those loans later
