yes for top 50 school. your sat is low for ivies.

be sure to apply to an ivy(and any college) because of the specific opportunities and programs offered. it sounds like you are just prestige hunting

Not certain for a top 50 school. The class rank isn’t spectacular, and not sure of the difficulty of the school. You don’t mention taking AP classes or any AP exams or SAT IIs.

@sattut 39/556 is 7% so I’d say it’s a pretty good rank… you are right about aps and sat2

Ivies are tough for everyone and your SAT will be a liability there. How is your high school regarded? What is the rigor of your classes? That will play a lot into it. Does your school have a track record with top schools?

What is the point of “one Ivy”? Ego? Prestige?

Yes, you absolutely should be able to get into a top 50 school, but with your stats, I don’t think you’ll get into an Ivy, but you should know, you don’t have to go to an Ivy to be successful. There are many great schools that aren’t Ivy League.
