Can I Intent to Register (SIR) to a CSU and a UC?

<p>Hello all,</p>

<p>I want to intent to register to SFSU because the last day to do so is May 1st and I want to be in the safe side. At the same time, I didn’t hear anything back from the UCs (UCSD, UCD, UCD and UCB) except UCSC and I don’t want to go to UCSC. So can I SIR to a CSU and a UC?</p>

<p>I believe that you can. With the UC’s, you have to pay a $100 fee when you SIR which you lose it if you decide to attend another school, but SFSU doesn’t have any fee, so you wouldn’t even lose out on that if you decided to go to a UC. At the same time, you should hear back from the UC’s you’re waiting for by 4/30, and the deadline for the CSU’s isn’t until the next day, so you should still have time.</p>

<p>At the same time, I’m on the waitlist for cal poly slo (called them and said they will tell me in June if I’ll get in or not)…so if I SIR to SFSU, cal poly will know that and they will reject me right away, right?</p>

<p>Yes, the only trouble is that you will have to foot all the SIR fees that you submit. Not that bad.</p>
