i sent in my app to SFSU at the last possible minute. While many of my friends who applied there have already heard back, i have not. Since i have applied, i have begun speaking with my dad again (its been a good few years) and i found out, that on his side, not only is he full Peruvian (making me half) but very strongly Inca as well.
so, assuming that my application hasnt been looked at yet (because i doubt it has), i’m curious to know if i could call the admissions office and make this addition. of course, i feel a bit like i’m exploiting my heritage, but i’m feeling pretty desperate and panicky at this point and want to do anything to help my case.
California Publics banned the use of affirmative action for the purpose of college admissions. Race/Ethnicity will not help in SFSU admissions. No need to change your application.
