Can I Make it Into Stanford or Harvard?

Hello Everyone,

I am currently a freshman in high school and hope to attend Stanford or Harvard, do you think that I am on the right path to make it?

School:
Unweighted GPA: 4.0
Grades are all 97+
Rank still isn’t known
Classes currently taking are: PAP Biology, PAP Algebra II, PAP Humanities I, AP Human Geography, PAP Computer Science, PAP Spanish II, Business, and PE.
SAT score is currently a 1400/1600, will improve with time.

EC:
DECA business competition
BPA business competition
AMC math competition

CEO and Co-Founder of my own company, Grandeso LLC.
Capable iOS and web developer

Clubs:
Founded iOS Development club
Founded Math Club
Part of Ping pong club

Volunteer:
In process of starting non-profit for peer tutoring
Help with school events

Leadership:
Not much as of now

Personal Background:
Asian Male
Both parents went to college in China
From TX
High Income family

Does it appear that I am on the right path?

Competitions don’t mean much unless you win on a national or state level. Right now your grades are fine but asking if you can make it into stanford or harvard right now is an impossible question. Your SAT will have to improve by a bit to make it within reach, and your GPA has to develop over the next three year for an accurate prediction.

The clubs and company you founded look pretty interesting so if you could hone in on those extra-cirriculars and expanding your success in those, I think you would look pretty good. (Always looks better when you excel in a few things than to join a few random clubs and say you’re involved in them)

I don’t think the discussion is pointless right now - it’s a very good time to be asking. Many kids wait until its too late to ask these questions. You are definitely off on the right path. You will need to bump the scores a good bit, but you have plenty of time. Find something you excel at and really enjoy, and focus on it. Read the book 'Why you get rejected: How to craft the perfect college application…".

Do you have employees? If so, that is impressive. If not, this is just title inflation that adcoms see through. Just say you developed a web app and be done with it.
