Can I not do it, and if I don’t, would I be penalized or ‘black marked’ in any way by the administration? I just don’t feel comfortable with revealing so much confidential information for an obviously non-confidential survey. but they’ve sent me 2 email reminders and 1 mail with a postage-paid hard copy of the questionnaire. they seem really obsessed.

You can choose not to do it without any adverse effects.

Meh, I didn’t do it with any of my schools either (didn’t have the time).

S declined to go and he’s still getting the questionnaire. I don’t think it’s that important. However, if you are attending, it would be common courtesy to do it. Probably it’s somebody’s research paper.

^^ does that mean i’ll be penalized if i don’t do it? it’s very obvious from the questionnaire that it’s not a research paper but an intelligence-gathering attempt by the admissions office.

Like I said, you won’t be penalized.

Okay, I don’t think I’ll do it then. They’ve just sent me a final reminder and that’ll probably be the last of it. I would have done the questionnaire if they hadn’t asked so many potentially identifying questions.

Can you leave some questions blank?

Not to intrude, but why are you so reluctant to give out info on what schools you got into? They already have your SSN.

i’m an international, and because i applied for FA, Princeton was the only school I got into anyway. even if I wanted to do the questionnaire, it’d have been totally useless to them :P
