Can I opt out of remedial classes at a florida college/university?

<p>So I was reading about the new law that was passed recently saying that it is no longer “required” for students to take remedial classes at a florida college, and that they can opt out of them. However, the article I was reading mentioned community colleges, so I was wondering if this law applied to all colleges/universities in florida? </p>

<p>I can’t answer your specific question - why not ask the colleges directly? - but in any case I would strongly advise against skipping remedial classes if you are advised to take them. You would be setting yourself up for failure to go into higher level classes without having bolstered your command of the basics.</p>
