Can I project the number of hours I'll be putting into an activity or is that not allowed?

Kind of a dumb question, but yeah. This senior year, I finally managed to shove my schedule around enough so that I could join my school Robotics team. Barring the idea that this makes my applications to colleges seem like I joined Robotics solely to look good (which I didn’t), I was wondering if, when filling out the time spent portion of the application, I should put the number of hours I expect to put in (easy to calculate, since the team keeps a strict schedule) or if I should only enter the number of hours I’m putting in so far. Because build season doesn’t start until January or so, Robotics has a very light schedule for these first couple of months, so it would be dropping drastically. Or should I average it out?

I’m also wondering if I should change something for early admissions, because I’m applying to Yale’s Single-Choice Early Action. This is due November 1st, so I definitely wouldn’t be putting in more than six hours a week by then.

Thanks for the help. I’m not trying to maximize the number of hours I can get out of my activities by manipulating the Common App aka lying. I just need to know what they want from me, since many of my activities fluctuate in intensity throughout the year and trying to figure out the time spent for the Common App is starting to hurt my brain.

Either average it out or put the projected time.

Also, is this FIRST Robotics?

Yes, it is. Sorry for the late reply.
