Can I put my Debate coach's name on the common app website as my recommender?

<p>He’s the debate moderator of our school debate team. Am I allowed to name him as one of my recommenders? I already have my economics teacher and my physics teacher listed there, but some colleges allow you to name 3 on the CA. I’m confused if he qualifies as a “teacher”.</p>

<p>No you cannot. The CA allows more than 2 teachers to register for LORs because you may want to send different teacher LORs to different schools.</p>

<p>However, all supplemental LORs are sent hard copy, not via the CA. And your debate coach does not qualify as a teacher LOR, only as a supplemental LOR.</p>
