hello. I’m a rising junior and i’m worried that I’ve already wasted my first two years of high school. although my gpa is a 97.51 (i dont know what that is on a 4.0 scale nor do i know my weighted and unweighted averages), i feel that i do not have that many extracurriculars or honors. I plan on attending CCNY and be in the CUNY Honors program or the Sophie Davis medical program at CCNY. I also want to apply to NYU, Weslyan, Syracuse, Colgate U, Columbia, and Brown (though i think i have no chance at the last 2)

i’m on the national honors society in my school and the school newspaper. all of my classes are honors with the exception of AP world history, the only ap class that i was able to take. I took the test in May and I feel pretty confident about it. I have received A’s in all of my classes (between A and A+) and have taken 3 research classes (Biology research, computer research, and history research) and have passed them all with A’s. I also got a 750 on the SAT II for World History

I’m doing this summer program at Lehman college in the bronx for the 2nd year (i wanted to do something else, but got wait listed). I participated in the REACH honors program at Baruch college. Also, I was a semi-finalist in the W!SE quality of life scholarship competition, a city wide competition

I’ve participated in the breast cancer walk, aids walk, parkinson’s walk, and did 6 hours of community service at the 92y in Manhattan. I also help out with events at my church and inform people in the community of church events.

I know, its not very impressive, but I want to know if I have any chance at a competitive school, and if i dont (more than likely), then i want to know what i can do to improve my chances. i’m already going to taks AP US and English Language and College now at Lehman College, where i’ll get college credit. I also want to join a sports team. Is it too late to join any new clubs? please help me and be honest
