can i request loft beds?

this may sound stupid, but i’ve always wanted loft beds and was somewhat
disappointed to find my bed on the floor
plus it’d give me more room- not that i really need it, since i’m in a balch single :P

but can i request a loft bed?

Check: [Housing - Your Housing Assignment FAQ](<a href=“Residential Life | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University”>Residential Life | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University)

It says:

you can loft it yourself high enough to put the dresser underneath if you put it on the top rungs. Its not hard to do. Or you can buy the bed risers at the cornell store that will raise it about 8".

well, what i wanted to do was to put my desk beneath the lofted bed.
sleeping 5 foot above the ground has been a strange, but persistent dream of mine
since age 6
and i don’t think i’m capable of doing that since i myself am about 5 foot tall.
=D

Since the OP is in Balch, it is not possible to loft it yourself, unless they changed furniture from last year. Plus the dresser is built into the closet. The beds in Balch can be lofted to 2 different levels, either way, you have to put in a maint. request to get it done. Hopefully they still have some lofting kits available.
