My best friend’s little brother will be applying to Davis for Fall 2012 admission as a freshman and I’ll be a junior transfer. My best friend, his little brother, and I have grown up together for the past 9 years within 15 minutes of each other, he’s like my little brother as well.

How would I go about doing this? I know a lot of institutions have separate transfer dorms.

If you guys can’t be roommates in the dorms the best you could do, if possible, is select to live in the same residence hall. Transfers could choose from Tercero or Cuarto right now. For freshmen, they have Segundo on top of that. Unless this changes by Fall 2012 you could go that route.

@ chailatte: actually, on the Davis housing application for transfer students, there are only two choices given: preferred occupancy and preferred configurations. “preferred occupancy,” transfer students can only choose between single or double occupancy, and then for “preferred configuration,” the only option shown is “suite,” which I assume is Cuarto. Only way transfers can indirectly choose to be in Tercero is to choose “single occupancy,” because transfers get put into Leach Hall according to the housing site (and Leach Hall is single occupancy).

There’s no choice for transfers to choose which residence hall they want.

just live off campusss!
