can i send it as my personal statement?

<p>I was so confused what to write for my personal statement and I founded my old essay about my ethnic background, or something like that. I edited and I liked my essay. I just don’t know if I could send it as my personal statement because it doesn’t tell about my academic background or anything about my academics. Can someone read it…edit it…or give me advice on how to make it more appealing to the admission officer… or just tell me, is it ok/not ok if I send it as my personal statement.</p>

<p>It’s OK. Your personal statement doesn’t have to say anything about your academics. It should talk about something that isn’t obvious from the rest of your application, and should tell the reader something about you. It sounds like your essay does that.</p>
