Can I skip ACT?

All:

I am from Florida. I am seriously thinking of 7 year med programs at GWU, University of Miami, University of South Florida. Also, I am looking at U of Penn or Duke if I do not make it to 7 year program. I have been focussing only on SAT and SAT2 thus far. I have not even ventured into taking ACT at all. Is ACT a must for any of the schools?

Thanks for your comments.

I wouldn’t say it’s a must for any of those schools. As long as you can get a decent score on your SAT (preferably 2100+ for schools like Penn) you don’t really need the ACT. However, some people have been known to do better on the ACT. So basically you don’t need it, but it wouldn’t hurt to take it.
