im gonna apply to hpme for the heck of it. i know my chances for that are .000000000000000000000000000000000001%

but im wondering how low my chances are for northwestern?

awww…no responses

yea there are no responses because people are getting sick of these threads. you have good scores, good grades and worthwhile ec’s yet you still think you have a low chance.

exactly. you are probably an average NU applicant. and have maybe a 40% of getting in. HPME? dont get your hopes up. haha i know i wont.

cs12345, im sorry. its just i think im quite average for NU, like olleger mentioned. im not sure if i should get my hopes up for NU. 40% is pretty low actually. most NU kids have better stats i think. i just wanted some CC opinions. thanks so much for responding though! =]

well based on you ACT alone… its a 25%. Your classes and extra curriculars bring that up. 40%-55% sound better?

haha…no im not sayin ur chancing me low…im sayin i think my chances are low in general.

hi guys…im bringing this back up. i think im going to appy EARLY DECISION INSTEAD. and no hpme. so chances for ED would be appreciated!! thanks so much guys =]]

if you apply ED, I would say you’ll most likely make the cut.

My D had better ACT/SAT/AP scores, slightly fewer ECs, significantly worse class rank - out of top 10 percentile, and got into Biology after being waitlisted (last year). We were told that a site visit “demonstrated interest” counts a lot, which we didn’t do, so if you’re really keen on NU, sign up to visit the place. BTW, also Indian. Hate to be judgemental, but you really should try to be a bit more positive, or at least neutral.
