Can I still get into college?

I accidently posted this in the college admissions board!

Anyway, I am currently taking Eng 3 AP, which was one of my worst desicions in High School.

I have only gotten 2 B’s previously in mostly Pre-AP but now I have a C in AP english. I feel horrible, like I let my parents down. They moved here from Argintina looking for a better life an they always tell me this, but now I probably wont be able to get into a good school.

Some schools I am looking at are
Northeastern
Rice (won’t get in)
University of Texas - Austin
Texas Tech
TAMU
University of Houston

I am probably top 20% or maybe top 15% of my class, and I have mediocre SAT scores for my first time (1750). I am in National Honor scociety, National Technical honor scociety, HOSA, Student council, as well as Spanish Club. I also have over 50 volenteer hours for High school.

You can definitely still get into college. Don’t feel bad, you haven’t let anyone down. It happens. Just try to improve your “bad” grades… improvement is good!

Need more info, and raise your test scores

Northeastern - low reach till u raise test scores
Rice (won’t get in) - make good grades for the rest of the year, raise to a 2100-2200 SAT score, good interview, great essays, etc. and you might have a shot
University of Texas - Austin - hard because a majority of their students come in through the top 10% rule (soon to be top 8% next year)
Texas Tech - Same as above but bit easier to get in
TAMU - ?
University of Houston - your automatically in with those test scores/gpa, not an amazing school, but hey its a school
