The prerequisites for getting into AP Chemistry is “Chemistry with a ‘B’ or better AND Algebra 2 with a grade of ‘B’ OR teacher recommendation” I messed up freshman year and got a D first semester and a C second, in honors alg. 2. I had straight As in every other subject though and am determined to get an A in Chemistry both semesters. Will I still be able to get into AP Chem?
Well, since that is specific to your school, none of us will know. If AP Chemistry at your school has more applicants than seats available, probably not, unless you showed marked improvement in pre-calc. However, if there are generally more spaces than applicants, maybe, but it looks like it would be at the discretion of the teacher. Ask him/her.
