can i take math 140 some other semester

im gonna be a junior this fall and I need math 140 to get into my major. I know you can basically change your major until graduation day and I was planning on taking it this summer but I ended up not having enough money to pay for the summer classes at my community college. I am not good at all in math that is why I wanted to take these classes over the summer and my next semester workload is hard enough already. Would it be a good idea to just put them off until next summer when I have the money or should I just take it next semester? I just don’t want to be stressed out so much I know those classes can be so difficult. Has anyone else done this?

What’s your major?

Please consult an academic advisor ASAP. You are flirting with disaster putting off a requirement for your major, with, I assume, the plan to take other advanced courses on your way to that particular major. While it is true you can change a major up to “the last minute”. This could set yourself for a longer degree time and/or struggles in upper level classes. One other problem is that the courses you need for the major may be under enrollment control. It is not uncommon for depts to restrict classes to majors and/or only allow non-majors to add the course during the add-drop period IF spaces are available.

i dont need it to take other classes its just a required class to get into the major.
