Can I take MORE than 128 Units?

<p>I need some help.</p>

<p>I’m a transfer student. 52 hours transferred, but only 36 of those applied towards courses I need. That means I’ve already used 16 elective hours.</p>

<p>I want to minor in screenwriting, but I have to take 96 of 128 hours in my school. Screenwriting is outside of my school(CLAS) and requires 16 hours for a minor. That means if I used 16 elective hours for Screenwriting + the 16 elective hours that transferred in, I would use up ALL 32 of my possible elective hours.</p>

<p>The problem is, there are still some classes outside of my department that would also meet my major requirement. Can I take 132 units, or 136? I’m hoping to transfer into SCA…but if I don’t get in, I want to know that I will still be alright and I can just take a few extra summer classes.</p>

<p>If this isn’t too confusing, I’d LOVE some help!</p>

<p>Yes, you can take more than 128 units. 128 is the minumum you must have to graduate, not the maximum.</p>
