Can I transfer to Michigan State University from Community College after one year?

Hello, I am going to be a college freshman in the fall and I will be attending my local community college. I was wondering if I can apply to Michigan State University fall 2015 semester after I complete my freshmen year at Oakland Community College, would that be possible? I am aware of the requirements I must have and I am signed up to take those classes. If i want to attend MSU next fall, when should I apply? Also one of the classes that MSU requires for incoming transfers, which is WRA 110 (english), I won’t be able to take until my winter semester. Would this hinder my chances to apply? Thank you for your help.

I would consider visiting the transfer students section of the forum here: <a href=“Transfer Students - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/</a>.

This is a transfers section too, but it’s specific to the UC system here in California. You might get better answers from those who are familiar with the Michigan system of schools. Just a thought. :)

thank you
