Can I transfer to UIUC College of Business?

Right now, I have 38 completed college credits from Parkland College and have a 3.3 GPA. I have fulfilled all of the prerequisite coursework to transfer to the college and have done all of this while being an active duty Air Force enlistee. I have applied to the college and am ready to separate from the Air Force from South Korea soon before the fall. My job in the Air Force is logistics-based and I have graduated from high school with a 3.6 GPA with many extra-curricular activities including National Honor Society President. Do I have a chance at being admitted?

Hey there - I would not rule yourself out but I would focus on getting your college GPA up for sure. The average transer GPA to the college of business is actually 3.8.

One thing to consider is that if you’re not admitted as a sophomore now, you can try re-applying with junior standing (60 credits) - they’ll then only look at your college grades.
