<p>I have a 2.9 gpa at um dearborn, which is not as bad as it looks, it consists of mostly B’s with A’s and a few B-'s and C’s in classes that I should have done better in (history). Please give my any thoughts you may have. I have 68 credits.</p>
<p>I am in no position to say you can’t but statistically its near impossible.</p>

<p>The only thing you have going for you is the 68 credits transferring. If alot of your classes were engineering classes(up to Math 216, Physics 151, Chem 134/144, and some other requirements @ Dearborn), maybe try applying to transfer to Engineering as an IOE major. If you haven’t taken those classes, definitely try applying to kinesiology. But to be honest, your chances are very slim no matter where you apply to.</p>

<p>I am pretty sure there is a minimum GPA requirement for IOE. If memory serves some majors are 3.0 and some are 3.5, I don’t remember any below that.</p>

<p>Stop bumping and just apply already. The deadline is Monday and once an app is in the speculation you find here all means nothing. UMich says you should have at least a 3.0 to be a competitive transfer applicant so the only thing anyone on this board can responsibly tell you is that you have little chance of getting in. But again, we’re not adcomms, so if you really want to know your chances, go to admissions.umich.edu and submit an app.</p>

<p>Essays usually aren’t that important, but since you’re kinda borderline, essays will probably be important for you. I’ll read em if you want, but I doubt I could help that much (I’m just a HS Senior and my essays kinda sucked).</p>

<p>Yes its possible to get admitted with a 2.9 but not common. I would suggest to apply if your seriously considering the school.</p>

<p>as a former Dearborn student who had transferred to the Ann Arbor campus, I daresay that I know your chances better than anyone on here.</p>
<p>For starters, the Ann Arbor campus rejected me three times before accepting me the 4th time I applied. The previous three times that I got rejected was with a 3.4~3.5 GPA, and with a Highschool GPA of 3.0. So comparatively, your 2.9 is gonna come short. Thats just my objective opinion. </p>
