Do any current Tufts students know the answer to this question…?

I’m strapped for cash, Tufts is my first choice, and I don’t mind being an RA if it means free room/board. Anyone know?

You can starting as a sophomore. Aside from the fact that all of them have already been hired and trained (and they had to turn some people away), that’s definitely something you couldn’t really do as a freshman, anyways.

Oh, I know
I wanted to start as a sophomore. Thanks!

How early do you have to apply to secure the position? Also, does that eliminate F.A.? After all, COA would go down then… right?

Yep you can starting sophomore year, and just from reading your posts I can predict that you’d make a very good one.

Applications are due in January I believe. Results are decided by a preliminary group interview, an individual interview, your essays, and your GPA.

RAing counts as any other job, so your FA would likely go down a bit; however, you’d likely still come out way ahead.

Oh, I see - so it doesn’t make my COA go down right…? It just counts as another job?

And thank you!
That’s very nice of you.
