can I work as software developer & researcher while studying to pay my expenses?

I am with over 10 years of experience: C#/C/PHP/Java…

Absolutely yes - you can do outside work to help pay expenses for college while still doing well in school and coding is a great, flexible skill to utilize. If you have connections from your current work find out if they’ll let you work remotely and work part-time. If you’re asking will there be jobs on campus / in labs for coders, that would really depend upon the campus. The pay won’t be a as good for student workers as for remote professionals but working in a lab looks good on your resume. Don’t plan on working more than 20 hours a week unless you’re willing to go part-time at school. You might be able to handle more but you’d need to get to school and try it before making that jump.
